General

Haris Shield is a desktop application that scans your phone for spyware, stalkerware, and state-sponsored surveillance tools like Pegasus. You connect your phone via USB cable — no app installation is needed on your phone, and the contents of your phone stay on your computer.

Traditional antivirus apps run on your phone and can be detected and disabled by advanced spyware. Haris Shield runs on your computer and analyzes your phone externally, making it invisible to spyware. It also detects threats that antivirus apps cannot, like Pegasus and other zero-click exploits.

The analysis runs entirely on your computer, and we never receive the contents of your phone — no messages, photos, contacts or call logs. Two features do consult outside services: connection geolocation looks up the IP addresses your phone talked to via ipinfo.io, and the optional breach check sends the email address you enter to Have I Been Pwned. Offline mode switches both off, and then nothing at all leaves your computer. Our privacy policy sets this out in full.

Haris Shield is for anyone who wants to ensure their phone is not being monitored. This includes journalists, activists, domestic violence survivors, business executives, security professionals, and anyone concerned about their phone privacy.

Compatibility

Haris Shield supports both iOS (iPhone) and Android devices. For iOS, you need to have the device unlocked and trust the computer. For Android, USB debugging needs to be enabled in developer settings.

Haris Shield is available for macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), Windows 10/11 (64-bit), and Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch — x86_64 and ARM64).

No. Haris Shield includes everything you need. On macOS, it will prompt you to install the necessary drivers if not already present. On Windows and Linux, all required components are bundled with the application.

Security & Privacy

No. Haris Shield performs passive analysis from your computer. The scanning process does not install anything on your phone and does not trigger any alerts that could warn an attacker.

In the default configuration, two things: the IP addresses your phone has connected to, which are sent to ipinfo.io so the app can show where those servers are located, and — only if you use the breach feature — the email address you type in, which goes to Have I Been Pwned. Your messages, photos, contacts, call logs and app lists are never transmitted. Enable offline mode and the app makes no outbound connections whatsoever.

Pegasus is a highly sophisticated spyware developed by NSO Group that can infect iPhones and Android devices without any user interaction (zero-click). It can access messages, emails, calls, camera, microphone, and location. Haris Shield includes specialized detection for Pegasus and similar state-sponsored tools.

If you suspect you are being monitored by a partner, employer, or government, scan your phone in a safe location using a trusted computer. If threats are detected, do not remove them immediately — this could alert the attacker. Instead, use the forensic report to document evidence and seek professional help or contact law enforcement.

Licensing

There is no limit on the number of phones you can scan. Your license is tied to your computer, not to individual phones. Scan as many devices as you need.

Each license is valid for one computer. You can deactivate your license on one computer and reactivate it on another. If you need multiple active installations, you will need a separate license for each.

Yes. If you need licenses for a team, organization, or security consultancy, contact us for volume pricing and the Workshop Dashboard feature for managing multiple device scans.
