Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Haris Shield.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Haris Shield ("the Software"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
2. License Grant
- Haris Shield is available in two tiers: Free (limited to 3 scans per calendar month) and Pro ($49/year, unlimited scans and full features).
- Each Pro license key is valid for one (1) device only. The license is bound to the device's hardware fingerprint upon activation.
- You may deactivate a license from one device and reactivate it on another through the app's settings. Only one device may be active at a time.
3. Free Tier
- The Free tier allows up to 3 scans per calendar month.
- Scan results in Free mode show a summary only. Detailed findings require a Pro license.
- No registration or payment is required for the Free tier.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.
- Share, redistribute, or resell license keys.
- Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or tamper with the license validation system.
- Use automated tools, scripts, or brute-force methods to guess or generate license keys.
- Modify the Software to remove or disable license checks or usage limits.
5. Anti-Tampering & Device Blocking
- The Software includes anti-tampering protections to prevent unauthorized access.
- Failed activation attempts are rate-limited: a maximum of 5 failed attempts per day is permitted.
- If the daily limit is exceeded across 5 separate days, the device will be permanently blocked.
- Upon permanent block:
- All locally stored data (scan history, settings, cached threat data) will be automatically deleted.
- The device's hardware identifier will be reported to Haris Shield servers.
- The Software will become permanently non-functional on that device.
- This action is irreversible. Blocked devices cannot be unblocked through reinstallation or data clearing.
- If you believe your device was blocked in error, contact support@harisshield.com.
6. Data Collection
Haris Shield performs all device scanning locally. No scan results are transmitted to our servers.
The Software collects the following data:
- Device hardware fingerprint (for license binding)
- License activation status
- Failed activation attempt counts (stored locally)
- Hardware identifier of permanently blocked devices (transmitted to our servers upon block)
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data from scanned devices.
7. Threat Intelligence
- Haris Shield uses Indicators of Compromise (IoC) from publicly available security research by Amnesty International, Citizen Lab, Google TAG, Kaspersky, and others.
- Threat intelligence data is used solely for spyware detection and is not redistributed.
- Detection results are informational and do not constitute a guarantee that a device is free from all threats.
8. No Warranty
- The Software is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
- Haris Shield does not guarantee detection of all spyware, malware, or surveillance tools.
- We are not liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Software.
9. Refund Policy
- Pro licenses purchased through our payment provider (LemonSqueezy) are subject to their refund policy.
- Refund requests must be made within 14 days of purchase.
- No refunds will be issued for devices that have been permanently blocked due to violation of these terms.
10. Changes to Terms
- We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.
- Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
